In 2019, when COVID hit, Tommy Mello had an epiphany: “Investing in the success of my team is the only way to win big in business.”

On the first day of lockdown he arrived at his office and saw a line of employees outside of his door. One by one, each employee joined Tommy for a conversation, and an unexpected trend emerged:

When I found myself with $50K of debt, and my then girlfriend left me because "I only cared about my business," I realized it was time to start working smart, instead of hard.

It was time to stop being a firefighter and start building systems and processes. I needed to delegate the work I’m not good at, and focus on my strengths. And I had to create checks and balances to inspect what I expect and create a work environment where excuses are not tolerated.
